Big Shoe Stables is located at Meeker, Oklahoma USA, just 40 miles East of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A rural community where if people aren’t your relatives, they are certainly your friends.  Big Shoe Stables is owned and operated by Don Langille, wife Vonda and children Mesha and Colby.  Big Shoe Stables is on Vonda’s family farm, where her father Slim is an active part of the daily operations.  In 2005, Don felt that it was time to start this operation for himself and his family while wanting to help others fulfill their desires in the industry.  Don brought with him to Big Shoe endless knowledge, much recognition and many contacts in the business, as he had been a handler and Driver for many of the premier operations within the draft horse world.  Don had been in the drivers seat holding the lines at many shows and had been successful in doing that, not really wanting to give up the driving aspect, John King with Rocky Ridge Clydesdales of Odessa, MO. has been a quality confidant and partner by allowing Don to drive the hitch for and be associated with Rocky Ridge Clydesdales.  The Clydesdales breeding at Big Shoe consists of 15 mares, the band is made of black and bay mares running with a black stallion.  We have chosen to take a couple of our own to local shows in the past and have done quite well, we hope to continue with this endeavor and be contenders for the larger shows in the future.  We also have a small herd of cattle that we tend to, usually maintaining 75 head.
